As you get older, you find that often the wheat, disentangling itself from the chaff, comes out to meet you. – Gwendolyn Brooks
Friends, I am finally returning to Life Seasons As A Teacher, more passionate than ever! I have been on Life’s Road and have become more discerned, strengthened, and corrected. I have been tried many times, but never convicted. I have many stories to share in future posts.
But I must first present content on the matter at hand, Corona.
I am returning with an enemy whom I befriended for a bit. Her name is Corona. She’s left me now, stronger than I was before she came into my life. Corona had to move on from me. She is no longer amused with me and knew that there is a world of more suitable and submissive mates for her. I am a strong man. Maybe that’s why she left me.
I no longer wish Corona in my life, but I appreciate all that she revealed to me about me, and about ‘people’. …about our world. Her most powerful skill is in her ability to separate the wheat from the tares.
I will be sharing with you, what Corona revealed to me in the next several posts.
“An editor is someone who separates the wheat from the chaff and then prints the chaff.” – Leon Harris & Elbert Hubbard
“Seeing only what is fair, Sipping only what is sweet, ** * Leave the chaff, and take the wheat.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
I had said that I’d never post about Corona Virus less write about it. Now Corona Virus has brought the Kevy Michaels, Life Seasons As A Teacher, blog out of mothballs with a renewed vigor. I have returned yawl!
I will begin with short (in my terms) blog post, and some videos on introspective thoughts about the Corona Virus.
I must do this because too many people’s panties are in a wad. I feel like I am being summoned to provide a more realistic and inspiring perspective. …To provide real-life perspectives.
Many of my most faithful and religiously endowed friends and acquaintances are scared and are living in a prison, not in their homes, but in their minds.
Not Kevy. I appreciate not being a traditional guy and a bit of a rebel in this regard. These are the times for the ‘complex’, as I am called by a friend, to rise up!
So, I will post alternative, but inspiring perspectives on this plague. I will use this plague like a pimp to reveal things that I have discerned from it, knowing that others out there, though few, may be able to relate. I will identify virtues, and lessons that I’ve learned on life’s road, that are useful right now. Most have been useful since the beginning of time.
But, there is one shortcoming that I understand and willfully accept. It will take special kinds of people, exceptional people, to see that the sun is still shining in the others’ world of panic. Those are the ones that I wish to target. Some may say, the weird ones.
It will take people like my friend Tracy who is celebratory everyday producing cute cat videos, and sharing elation over her gratitude through the coronavirus and in spite of life’s circumstances. She still finds time and energy to make happy. I love Tracy for that.
Tracy, people like her, and myself are finding this time as a very special opportunity to accentuate the silver linings, to celebrate life, and to adapt to our ever-changing environment, to grow.
For those exceptional people, this is our season. We have planted seeds for years, and now we welcome the rain. Because we know that Spring always comes. Always.
Today’s moment of Gratitude & Cat-A-Tude – Apr 2, 2020
“You know it’s like they say, “Sometimes, the only sense you can make out of life, is a sense of humor!” – Tracy Tdub
Peeling these layers will require going beyond the surface of propaganda, fake news, hopelessness, deaths, and ill spirits and minds. Many cannot stand peeling an onion. I accept that. They won’t listen to ‘my crap’ and I won’t attend their pity parties.
Kevy, Tracy, and others aren’t that way and couldn’t be that way without feeling that we were selling their souls. That is who my Corona Chronicles will attempt to reach over the next few posts.
I will leave the others to find their appropriate messengers, in their version of reality. They are way too exhausting for me, and they drain my ability to conquer this epic trial. Oh yea, it shall be conquered.
Many will be elevated in some way in the aftermath of Corona. Many will be cut down.
“Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.” – Matthew 13: 30 (KJV)
I am eager to discuss Corona now! I am qualified to do so.
I contracted it over a month ago, confirmed positive. Fortunately I did not panic. I was prudent but did several ‘right things’, from jump street, and never suffered any symptoms. What is more important than what I did in response to the coronavirus, is what I have practiced for many years prior to her arrival. I worked tirelessly at strengthening my Body, Mind, and Spirit. I will share these things with my exceptional friends. You.
I am grateful, like Tracy, that I am most likely immune at this point. It is approaching month 2 since exposure with no symptom. Two days ago I jogged seven miles.
I was never fearful of the coronavirus. I amped up on strengthening my immunity. I prayed and meditated passionately. And, I was never adversely affected, though the people who most likely affected me experienced a more devastating outcome. I say, it was because their spirit and health were opposites to mine.
I survived Corona like a champ. Thank you Lord
My corona virus reality is ‘another reality’.
Though it doesn’t get much press, over 90% of the population is unaffected by the coronavirus today. But, practically the whole world has built elaborate prisons in their minds, and have created select isolated groups to shield themselves from the monster outside.
That’s not my reality. It will never be my reality because I believe that Joyous, We Are Meant To Be. I wrote a song by that title.
It’s shameful how so many seem to have thrown faith out the door. I understand being practical and following government recommendations, but some seem to no longer have faith in God.
They seem to believe that they are ultimately in control and can hide forever. They have put all their eggs in the basket of the same medical system that allowed them to become susceptible and most vulnerable. Now, that medical system has no answer for them. They have not practiced healthy living, nor have treated their bodies like temples. And they, have no faith so they live in a maximum-security prison, believing that they hold the key to beating this thing by alienating and hiding.
They may speak a good faith game, but not without an abundance of fear haunting them. What do they fear so strongly when the vast majority of the population is unaffected?
Their solution to the Corona pandemic is to live in a prison, but not a prison in their homes. It’s in their minds. I pity them because they seem lost.
But they are not just any lost. That’s why I am not patient with them. They are lost with a vengeance and you can’t tell them anything. They base their arguments about Corona on media and social media, but rarely on facts. You could slap them in the face with science, and they will shake it off and still talk all that gobbledygook.
They don’t realize that Fear is the antithesis of Faith. I argue that Discernment & Fhttp://aith are far better options during this pandemic than Fearing & Hiding. But you can’t tell them anything. They drain me.
So, instead, I will preach to the choir, those who already know.
I know, as may others who review this post do, that the Corona Virus, though it is dreadful to most, and apocalyptic to others, does bears fruit. It presents the world with a plethora of wonderful opportunities, but only if we open up to change.
“Corona presents to the world and its people a definitive call to change their wicked ways.” – Kevy Michaels
It has revealed many things, some which may be disappointing, but important to know. That is what makes Corona Virus a fruit that bears Good News. Knowledge is what we should always seek, but never complete.
I aim to share the Good News in several posts to follow.
Some may not have the ability to see the good in bad. …The silver lining in storm clouds. Some who were faithful during sunnier days, may feel lost and look for a rock to hide them. Some may believe that God, as they understand, is angry and vengeful with this plague.
Those unfortunates are in my circle too. I try to repel myself from their energy and spirit. I can’t imagine that my post will appear to those types.
I DO NOT WISH TO REACH THESE PEOPLE.
These types are too exhausting for me. They are for another messenger to reach, one with greater patience. I don’t have much patience against resilient resistance without research or evidence. I can no longer respect Faith without Works. I don’t want to have patience with these types.
We are not in an era for patience. Patience is why we are damned-near hemorrhaging now, in many ways. We must act quickly, decisively, and adapt our minds, bodies, and spirits to a world that may never look like Alice In Wonderland again. We must come together by not subscribing to hype.
I want to preach to the choir, I tell you! I want to embrace the positive energy and share/exchange ways that the Corona Virus can make our world, if not the entire planet, better through interacting with nature, our bodies, our environment, and each other in an enriching and sustainable way.
As Kevy Michaels, Life Seasons As A Teacher, has always done, I will propagate this good news through blogs, poems, narratives, videos, music, testimonies, and quotes.
I will not obsess over Corona Virus, though. It isn’t shizzo if you don’t let it overwhelm you. Those who are overwhelmed watch the news and social media day and night. I have not watched the news, so far for nine days. It’s amazing how many people have regurgitated it back to me. The other day I told my friend, “I haven’t watched the news for days. Thanks for watching it and summarizing it for me.”
After communicating a few inspiring perspectives and opportunities on Corona, I will return to my usual type of information or rhetoric (you choose). I may be re-posting articles which are obviously more appropriate now, then they were a year ago.
This may be very pleasurable to the like-minded, but not to the fake-faithful or to those who are lost in rhetoric and misinformation. May the Lord help them. I will not exhaust myself trying to, but will attempt to strength and galvanize those who already have a degree of understanding and who have a discerned perspective. I also welcome their discernment and knowledge.

The whole Italian population has been put in lockdown since Wednesday, in a strict measure to prevent a further spreading of the Coronavirus in the most hit country in Europe. On Friday a ‘sound flashmob’ was organised to lift the spirits up, resulting in cheerful singalongs and improvised opera performances that boosted an incredible community bond from North to South. Coronavirus Is Helping the Environment — for Now – 663,822 views – Mar 31, 2020
The pandemic closing factories and keeping cars off roads may be good for emissions, but all of those gains are short term. While millions of workers are spending days at home, the Trump administration hasn’t dropped its work to counteract environmental progress. Today, it’s set to announce one of the most sweeping and consequential regulatory rollbacks of Trump’s presidency: a reversal of vehicle emissions standards enacted by the Obama administration. The old rule forced auto-makers to increase fuel efficiency year-by-year at a rate of 5%, by taking mileage and emissions into account. Now car-makers will only have to increase efficiency by just 1.5% year-over-year. The rule was already in the works before the first confirmed COVID-19 case in the U.S., and it comes after the EPA announced it is no longer requiring companies to comply with a wide swath of environmental laws if they cite the pandemic. So while pollution may be down for the time being in a few big cities in the U.S., a trend that’s playing out in India and in Hubei province, where levels of nitrogen dioxide fell by 40% during a strict lockdown, government moves to boost withering economies could turn back that progress.
